UK: Plans have been submitted for a mixed use development of two hotels and serviced apartments at the entrance to Glasgow’s SECC complex.

Drawn up by Keppie Design on behalf of Chesterpeak Developments, the project comprises a four star hotel of 203 bedrooms and a three-star hotel containing 190 bedrooms and 35 serviced apartments.

The development will feature an 11-storey four-star hotel built on Stobcross Street incorporating restaurant and bar accommodation to serve hotel guests and SECC visitors, as well as a floor of flexible meeting space and a link at second floor level with the existing multi-storey car park.

The neighbouring building, with the serviced apartment element facing Finnieston Street, will also include commercial, retail and leisure facilities.</p
