FRANCE: Staycity Group has announced it will open its sixth aparthotel property in France, in the Parisian business area of La Défense.
The Dublin-based aparthotel operator will open Staycity Paris La Défense on June 13, 2022.
The aparthotel will offer 215 studio and one-bed apartments, sleeping up to four people. All apartments have fully equipped kitchenettes, living, dining and work spaces.
Staycity Paris La Défense also has parking, guest laundry, gym and a 24-hour reception.
For food and drinks there is a Staycafé selling breakfasts and hot and cold snacks and drinks throughout the day.
Jason Delany Staycity’s director of brand, product and marketing said: “La Défense is a popular destination in Paris so we’re delighted to be opening this new-build property in such a modern, vibrant area. France is a key destination for Staycity and La Défense joins our existing Parisian properties in Gare de L’est and Marne la Vallée and outside the capital in Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon. Next year we will open at Charles de Gaulle Airport giving our guests a fantastic choice of Staycity destinations across France.”
The international business area of La Defénse lies in the North-West of Paris. It has nearly three million square metres of offices across 71 towers.
The area is also becoming popular with leisure, as well as business travellers, with its broad choice of bars and restaurants and accessibility with three international airports and a short Metro journey from the centre of Paris.
The area is a sought-after residential area with 25,000 inhabitants, known for its high quality of life, cosmopolitan appeal and modern living spaces.
This year Staycity has also opened properties in Manchester in the UK, Frankfurt in Germany and Dublin, Ireland with two further properties in Dublin due to open in 2022.
In 2023 new locations will open in London and Paris with additional sites in Germany, Portugal, the UK and Jersey currently under development.
By the end of the year the company will operate over 5,500 apartments.
