PANAMA: Yovana Segarra has become the first woman in Panama to simultaneously serve as general manager to three hotels of the Marriott International portfolio.
Segarra, who has just been appointed general manager of the Residence Inn Panama City, also manages the Marriott Executive Apartments Panama – Finisterre and the AC Hotel Panama City.
With more than 25 years of experience in the industry, including hotel management, revenue management, sales and marketing, food and beverage operations, Segarra also held leadership positions at the Westin Playa Bonita and Westin Panama, including director of revenue administration and director of operations.
The Residence Inn Panama City was the brand’s debut property in Panama and opened in the city’s Punta Paitilla neighbourhood in 2020.
