PHILIPPINES: Ascott will open ten properties in the Philippines next year across four extended stay brands.
The ten new properties are located in Quezon City, Manila, Makati, Cebu, Bacolod and Davao.
The addition of the new properties will mean an additional 1500 units, increasing Ascott’s portfolio to a solid 5,000 units across 27 properties in the country.
Next year the openings include extended stay options with two Somerset brand openings in Makati and Cebu, five new Citadines in Makati, Quezon City, Manila, Davao, and Bacolod. There will also be two of the coliving brand lyf opening in Manila and Cebu in late 2023. The Suites at TLM will also open in Manila next year.
Ascott Philippines’ country general manager Philip Barnes said: “We have very strong support from the domestic corporate segment and the domestic leisure segments. Some of our properties offer 2-to-3-bedroom apartments for families. Our brand is a home away from home.”
Somerset
The 176-unit Somerset Valero Makati in Salcedo Village is within the Makati Central Business District and will offer a range of studio, one- to three-bedroom apartments. Guests will also enjoy use of a gym, swimming pool and residents’ lounge.
The Somerset Gorordo Cebu, opening next year will offer 155 units of studio, one and two-bed apartments, a swimming pool, gym and lounge as well as event spaces. The property is close to Cebu Business Park and is Ascott’s second serviced residence in the city after Citadines Cebu City.
Citadines
Citadines Benavidez Makati, Manila, opening next year, is in the Makati Central Business District and offers 145 studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments. The property will also have a gym, swimming pool, function rooms and shops.
Citadines Roces Quezon City, opening next year, is located in Quezon City, the largest city in Metro Manila, capital of the Philippines. The serviced residence offers a range of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Facilities include an all day dining options, function rooms, swimming pool, gym and residents’ lounge.
Citadines Mandaue Cebu, opening next year, will offer 192 rooms across studio and one bed apartments. There’s a fitness centre and swimming pool and the property is close to the airport and seaport.
Citadines Bacolod City will open next year with 200 serviced residences as part of a mixed-use development which also comprises a condominium and commercial complex. It is a 17-minute drive from the Bacolod-Silay International Airport, and a five-minute drive from the Central District IT Park.
The 250 unit Citadines Paragon Davao will be part of mixed use development with retail, office and event spaces. Just 15 minutes’ from downtown Davao City, the property is close to universities and shopping centres, as well as a 45 minute drive to Davao International Airport. Citadines Paragon Davao will offer studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom units as well as a breakfast lounge, swimming pool, gymn, residents’ lounge and function room.
Lyf
lyf Cebu City is the first lyf property in the Philippines and offers 161 apartments. It is located in a mixed use development called Baseline Line Cebu, which offers corporate, lifestyle and commercial spaces and is close to restaurants, shopping centres and other attractions.
The second lyf property in the Philippines is located in Malate, Manila. It is close to University Belt, shopping centres, restaurants, bars, museums and the train station. It has 202 apartments and guests can enjoy a lounge, social kitchen, laundromat, gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi.
The Suites at TLM
The Suites at TLM offers 164 apartments and is located in Malate district, Manila. The district has many schools, universities, medical facilities, government institutions, shopping centres and a train station. The property is close to the United States Embassy and Rizal Park, and 20 minutes’ drive to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The Suites at TLM will be part of a mixed-use development that also has coliving and commercial spaces. The property also features a swimming pool, gym, meeting room, residents’ lounge and rooftop lounge.
