AUSTRALIA: Plans for a skyscraper in the centre of Sydney could mean the loss of the city’s largest cinema.
Central Sydney Planning Committee is looking at the proposal this week for a 207m skyscraper, which would include 507 serviced apartments.
The current building has housed a cinema since 1976. If the plans are approved the current cinema would be replaced with a smaller offering.
SAN reported last week the Veriu Group will open a Sydney aparthotel in the Hills District of the city.
