UK: Management company Switch Hospitality has completed the redevelopment of its aparthotel Birmingham with the addition of an on-site store.

Formerly known as the Royal Angus Hotel, Switch Hospitality redeveloped the site into aparthotel Birmingham which opened earlier this year.

It offers 161 suites including dog-friendly terraced rooms, and the guest experience is supported by self-check-in portals, in-room media walls, and more.

The project is now complete with the opening of an on-site convenience store, Nisa Local. The store can be accessed at street level or via the aparthotel’s coworking area, The Hub.

John Angus, managing director of Switch Hospitality Management Ltd, said: “From the initial design stages, we wanted to ensure that every aspect of aparthotel Birmingham would create the ultimate guest experience, regardless of whether they’re here to enjoy a weekend away with the kids, or staying with us during the week as they work away from home.

“The final addition of an on-site shop means that guests can pick up all the essentials they might need throughout their stay, from fresh ingredients to cook a meal in their apartment, to a hot breakfast on the way to work, or their favourite branded products that have been left at home.

“It is brilliant to see the completion of this industry-leading redevelopment, which I believe perfectly demonstrates how Switch’s expertise has allowed us to deliver maximum outcomes for our clients and the gold-standard of service for our guests,” he added.
