US: WoodSpring Hotels has announced the grand opening of WoodSpring Suites Seattle Redmond.

The extended stay hotel, developed by West 77 Partners LLC, will be operated by WoodSpring Hotels Property Management. It is located at 7045 180th Avenue NE in Redmond, Washington State, just minutes from Microsoft’s campus.

The four-storey, newly constructed extended-stay hotel offers 120 suites in three room layouts. As with all WoodSpring hotels, each room has an in-room kitchen equipped with a full-size refrigerator, two burner stove top and microwave. WoodSpring Suites locations are pet-friendly and offer free wireless Internet, vending machines and guest laundry. The Seattle Redmond hotel is smoke-free and offers guests an expanded lobby space, complimentary coffee and a fitness centre.

“By fully utilising our expertise in the extended stay segment and the profitability that is a result of our unique operating model, the WoodSpring Suites brand continues to attract first-rate developers like West 77 Partners,” said Ron Burgett, executive vice president of franchise development and operations for WoodSpring Hotels LLC. “West 77 has been a great partner to WoodSpring Hotels as we continue to grow in the greater pacific northwest area.”

Mike Nielson, principal at West 77, said: “WoodSpring has a proven track record of high performance that has been replicated in multiple locations throughout the US. With little to no former WoodSpring Suites brand presence in the northwest, we saw an opportunity to successfully broaden our real estate portfolio. We’re looking forward to providing a great extended stay option to those traveling to the greater Seattle area with our continued WoodSpring Suites development.”

West 77 Partners has one other WoodSpring Suites hotel in Seattle Everett, a third hotel under construction that is expected to open later this year and plans to develop several more hotels in the Pacific northwest area.

In December it was announced that Choice Hotels was buying WoodSpring for $230 million.</p
