UK: Marlin Apartments has been granted planning permission for an extra floor at its first aparthotel in central London, on Westminster Bridge Road.
The building will have a revised total of 236 rooms and is scheduled to open in 2017. It will be the company’s seventh property and its first aparthotel venture.
Susan Cully, managing director of Marlin Apartments, the largest owner-operator of serviced apartments in the UK, said: “We are happy to have received planning permission for an extra floor at our aparthotel on Westminster Bridge Road. This extra floor will offer our guests an even better view of the city, overlooking London landmarks such as The Shard and Big Ben.”
“With the rise of the bleisure trend, it is essential for hoteliers to include such a concept in the consideration of the needs of today’s business travellers. With this in mind, we aim to offer business travellers an easy way to incorporate leisure activities into their business trips regardless of the length of their visit,” she added.
