US: Stranded immigrants and visitors from seven, largely Muslim, countries banned from entering the US have been offered free Airbnb accommodation.

Last week Trump signed an executive order barring immigrants and visitors from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from the US for 90 days.

Airbnb chief executive Brian Chesky said the move was “not right” and tweeted that people in urgent need of housing should contact him directly.

“Not allowing countries or refugees into America is not right and we must stand with those who are affected,” said Chesky.

The executive order is subject to a legal challenge from The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which estimates that between 100 and 200 people are being detained at airports or in transit.</p
