US: San Francisco-based corporate housing provider Homesuite has changed its name to 2nd Address.
The company says the rebrand “illustrates its journey over the past two years: from launching a marketplace of vetted, trustworthy guests and hosts to now concentrating on the technology and hospitality experience to make business travel easier and more enjoyable”.
“The vacation rental space is crowded, however there are surprisingly few brands serving professionals with extended stay options,” said Chung-Man Tam, CEO of 2nd Address. “We are giving those businesspeople a housing partner they can rely on for comfortable and stylish apartments and homes in prime locations across the country.”
Backed by Google Ventures, Foundation Capital, and Battery Ventures among others, the company launched in 2015. The company says it “eases the anxiety of extended stay business travel. Our online experience makes finding, leasing, and managing properties simpler and provides a richer experience for guests as they settle into their new temporary home. Our customers include Google, Facebook, Microsoft and thousands of smaller businesses”.</p
