Thailand: Marriott International has appointed Alexander Schoell as GM of Marriott Executive Apartments Sathorn Vista Bangkok.

Schoell started his hotel career 20 years ago with Kempinski as an F&B management trainee and has served in various F&B management positions within Starwood and Hilton in Europe. His first move to Thailand was in 2008 joining the Millennium Hilton Bangkok as the director of F&B. He joined Marriott in 2011 as operations manager at Marriott Executive Apartments Sukhumvit Park Bangkok before transferred to JW Marriott Khao Lak as director of rooms in 2014.

Prior to joining Marriott Executive Apartments Sathorn Vista, Schoell held the position of resident manager at Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa since its opening in March 2016.

“I am very excited and pleased to have a chance to work in the Marriott Executive Apartments brand again. It is the brand that offers all the luxury touches of a five-star hotel while also providing the coziness and warmth of a home-away-from-home experience, a perfect combination that most business travellers are looking for when traveling to key international gateway cities on a temporary assignment or relocation,” said Schoell.

“At Marriott Executive Apartments Sathorn Vista Bangkok, we are also planning to elevate our services and facilities to the next level. For example, you will see the new looks of our MoMo Café within this year as well as other new and exciting initiatives that we are planning to roll-out, to offer an even more luxurious and sophisticated experience to our valued guests,” he added.
