UK: London-based Cheval Residences has become the first serviced apartment specialist to be featured on the location app What3words.
Cheval has integrated the What3Words satellite mapping app across all eight of its London properties. The move comes as global mapping and navigation corporation Tom Tom announced it will integrate the What3Words platform with TomTom’s consumer and business products later this year.
What3words is a system that encodes precise geographic coordinates into three words, simplifying the way to find a location – which will benefit those looking to book and navigate to accommodation in large cities.
Cheval Residences is now utilising the platform as “a better addressing tool to find properties within moments which will immediately enhance their customer experiences, as well as delivering business efficiency and driving growth of the evolving brand”.
George Westwell, director of Cheval Residences, said: “We have chosen to implement this tool because it is obvious, with the brand partners on board so far, that it will be the way that people all over the world find locations in the near future. For Cheval, it is always about ensuring our guests are 100% satisfied and this intelligent satellite tracking device platform will make the guest’s journey to Cheval properties even easier. We look forward to seeing the effect of the tool and hope that it will drive customers to our ever evolving brand. We are confident that this new technological element will optimise our operations and revolutionise the business.”</p
