UK: Belfast-based operator Dream Apartments will open a project with 33 “dream Pods” at Colonial Chambers in Liverpool.
The former office building, which will be converted in to 33 compact units, is located less than a two-minute walk from Liverpool waterfront, James Street Station and Castle Street.
The company says the “budget rooms might be compact in size but they manage to squeeze in plenty of amenities. Each room has its own small bathroom with power shower, a TV and Wifi, a full length mirror and hanging space for clothes”.
Dream Apartments managing director Tom Smyth said: “It’s clear through the research that people want the basics done excellent, such as a comfy bed and a power shower, and central location – whilst paying a fantastic price for their room. We are delighted to be working with Ascot Property Investment, who have just completed 94 studio apartments as part of phase one of the development of Colonial Chambers.”
He added: “Liverpool is a global city, with a forward-thinking perspective and exceptional economic strengths. Blue-chips, start-ups, entrepreneurs and emerging talent are attracted to Liverpool by investment opportunities, business benefits and a fantastic city to live, work and socialise in.”
The new development brings Dream Apartments offering to total 142 properties in Liverpool, 127 in Belfast with a further 30 to open in Belfast this year. The business also has further properties in Newcastle, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam and São Paulo Brazil, and employs more than 70 people across the UK.
