UK: Liverpool-based Aparthotel operator EPIC is looking to expand to other UK cities after securing a multi-million pound refinance package from Allied Irish Bank.

EPIC was established in 2012 by Simon and Fiona Beer and now runs three aparthotels across Liverpool city centre, as well as the 128-key Seel Street Hotel by EPIC, which opened last year in partnership with developer the Elliot Group.

Simon Beer said: “This deal has come at an important stage of growth for EPIC and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. The refinance package will allow us to press forward with our next development in Liverpool – 151 Duke Street – and will also facilitate our plans to take the EPIC experience to other cities in the UK.”

Jonny Beckwith, area director at AIB’s Liverpool team, arranged the deal. He said: “EPIC is a young and dynamic business that has won many awards and built up a reputation for offering quality accommodation that appeals to a wide market. We are delighted to be working with them to help them with their next phase of growth. Simon and Fiona are working on some very exciting new projects in the heart of Liverpool as highlighted with the recent launch of the Seel Street Hotel by EPIC and also have ambitious plans to expand their brand across the UK.”
