GERMANY: Aparthotel brand Locke has opened its Munich property, WunderLocke in the southwest of the city.
The aparthotel aims to become a creative hub in the area, as well as a destination for cultural meet ups, collaborating with companies in the wellness, music, art, food and drink sectors.
The property is aimed at the “burgeoning undercurrent of artists, creatives and tech entrepreneurs”.
Eric Jafari, Locke’s chief development officer and creative director, said: “WunderLocke is our most boundary-breaking Locke to date, creating a destination in the heart of Munich where locals and travellers alike can immerse themselves in the creative sub-culture of the city.”
Wunderlocke is also home to the Mural Farmhouse, which has been created by the founders of Michelin-starred restaurant Mural. It offers five food and beverage outlets across seven floors, including an all-day restaurant, fine dining chef’s table, wine and cocktail bar, plus a rooftop with views of the Bavarian Alps.
WunderLocke Munich offers a range of studios, and one and two-bed apartments.
SAN recently spoke to Edyn’s Stephen McCall about its plans and future openings.
