Ascott’s lyf in Bangkok re-opens

THAILAND: The Ascott Group’s first lyf property in Thailand has reopened this month. 

Ascott’s coliving brand lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok, first opened its doors in Thailand during the first year of the Covid pandemic, in August 2020.  

Brian Tan, country general manager for Ascott Thailand and Laos, said: “We are excited to reopen the lyf property in Thailand and to welcome back our millennial and millennial-minded guests! lyf combines creative living spaces with curated social programmes to create a lifestyle environment that supports live, work and play for digital nomads, technopreneurs, creatives and self-starters.

lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok offers 196 units of “One of a Kind” studios with ensuite bathrooms. Guests can also enjoy the co-living and co-working zones, with Connect – the co-working and lounge zone, Bond – the social kitchen, Wash & Hang – the laundromat, plus a rooftop outdoor terrace in a stunning Thai art-deco inspired setting.  

It is located in a vibrant shopping and entertainment hotspot in Bangkok close to Nana BTS Skytrain station, one train stop from Terminal 21 and three BTS stations away from Siam.

lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok is one of the five properties that The Ascott Limited is operating in their strategic partnership with Ananda Development PLC and Mitsui Fudosan Asia (Thailand) including Ascott Thonglor Bangkok, Ascott Embassy Sathorn, Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok, and Somerset Pattaya.

Ascott recently acquired a Tokyo property for the lyf brand amid strong first half figures.
