US: Extended Stay America has appointed Terry Sanders and Mike McGaughey to regional vice president roles.
Sanders will be responsible for continuing Extended Stay America‘s franchise development throughout the Western United States. Prior to joining Extended Stay America, Sanders was executive vice president of Aimbridge Hospitality. He grew the company’s portfolio through mergers and acquisitions of new and existing hotel owners and private equity funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and asset managers. Sanders has held senior development positions at several major hotel brands, including Radisson and Wyndham, as well as brokerage groups throughout his career.
McGaughey takes the equivalent role in the Midwestern United States. Prior to joining Extended Stay America, McGaughey was director of development for new construction at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. He has also held senior development positions with Choice Hotels International and Best Western. McGaughey holds a Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Services degree from Pepperdine University.
