The Netherlands: Serviced apartment brand, Cove, has continued its expansion in Europe with the conversion of a serviced apartment property in Amsterdam.

Initially launched as an independent extended stay brand within the edyn umbrella in 2018, The Wittenberg was brought into edyn’s Cove brand this week and the 1722 building is now known as Wittenberg by Cove.

The addition to Cove’s European serviced apartment portfolio follows the opening of The Hague, Cove – Centrum last month.

Stephen McCall, CEO of edyn said: “We are thrilled to announce Cove’s expansion into mainland Europe so soon after its launch in 2021. The opening of Cove – Centrum and Wittenberg by Cove conversion is a great milestone in our journey that signals both our intent on the continent as well as further investment in our belief that guests are increasingly looking for flexible, thoughtfully designed accommodation – regardless of whether they’re travelling for work or leisure.”

Wittenberg by Cove offers 115 rooms including studios, one and two-bed apartments with canal and courtyard garden views. Each Cove apartment features wifi, fully equipped kitchens and living spaces, as well as a workspace area.

Guests of the serviced apartments will also enjoy communal spaces with an honesty bar, gym, co-working area, two courtyards and a large garden.

Located on Amsterdam’s east side, known as the cultural garden of the city, the property has a canal-side setting just 15-minutes’ walk from Amsterdam’s main train station.

Cove, which launched last year, has continued to grow its portfolio of properties with locations across key cities in the UK including Liverpool, Nottingham, Manchester and Cardiff.
