SINGAPORE: Dao by Dorsett has promoted Roy Liang to vice president of operations.
Based out of Singapore, Liang will head all Dao by Dorsett properties worldwide operationally as well as assist the owners in developing the Dao by Dorsett brand and operational guidelines.
Dao by Dorsett (known as Dao) was developed by Dorsett Hospitality International, as an aparthotel model where guests enjoy their own custom living space in fully serviced apartments alongside multiple touchpoints to interact with their local environment.
As general manager of Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore, Liang has first hand knowledge and understanding of the customer database and their needs:
Since its launch in August 2022, the property has remained at 85 per cent occupancy and surpassed pre-Covid 2019 ADR by 50 per cent increment.
Roy Liang, vice president of operations, Dao by Dorsett, said: “We have seen that apartment models have really shone better than a typical hotel room for both short and long term stays in the last year. Our one and two bedroom units come with an in-room washer and dryer, a dining table and full kitchenette. These facilities help the asset attract longer stay travellers and can also cater to high yielding short-stay families or group travel during peak periods- offering a service that traditional hotels can’t rival.”
Liang will also continue his role as general manager of Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore.
London’s Dao offering opened in June this year.
