Dorsett Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Mark Gallagher as area general manager UK.
Gallagher will be area general manager for all UK based properties, including Dorsett Shepherds Bush, Dorsett City London, Dao by Dorsett West London and the much anticipated Dao by Dorsett Hornsey Town Hall and Dorsett Canary Wharf.
He brings more than 20 years of experience as a senior leader in the hospitality industry in the UK to his new role and joins Dorsett from IHG Hotels and Resorts where he worked as senior cluster general manager within the UK&I managed portfolio.

After completing his degree in Business and Finance, Gallagher quickly climbed the ranks to general manager with some of the country’s largest hotel companies including Thistle and Guoman Hotels (now glh Hotels), starting in Glasgow before moving to the London properties. He successfully led the creation of the Amba Hotel brand and the transformation of the 700 keys Amba Hotel Marble Arch through refurbishment and rebranding, and was made head of operations for the brand. Gallagher moved to IHG Hotels & Resorts where he looked after several hotels in Glasgow, London, Reading and Cardiff.
