Germany: The Apartment Network (TAN) has appointed Angela Eisenblaetter as commercial director for the DACH region.

With more than 30 years in the travel and tourism industry, Eisenblaetter’s experience includes leisure business, cruises, group travel and MICE. She has worked for market leaders as well as for start-ups, agents and tour operators.

Until 2020 she worked as director groups & incentives at FTI Touristik, the third largest tour operator in Europe. In former roles, she set up the group and MICE department as well as international sales at AIDA Cruises and worked as a consultant for smaller entities.

“I am thrilled to join TAN at this exciting time, to develop the business in the DACH region. Serviced apartments are a fast-growing market sector and cater perfectly to the different types of business travel in ‘New Work’ – digital nomads, workcation seekers, relocation demands from new job opportunities, project related work or longer business trips to meet new demands in sustainable travel,” said Eisenblaetter.

“I have stayed in serviced apartments for both leisure and business trips and enjoyed the many possibilities this type of stay allows – being free from fixed breakfast hours and opening times of hotel restaurants, living in interesting neighbourhoods, and inviting friends and colleagues to the apartment. It really is a very flexible choice,” she added.

Marcos Isaac, CEO of The Apartment Network, said: “It is an exciting time to be in the Serviced Apartment sector and we are very happy to welcome Angela to the team. This sector is evolving fast, to deliver to future demands for both business and leisure travellers looking for safe, self-contained places to stay. The apartment sector will continue to challenge the classic hotel sector, with its flexible, extended stay approach. This alternative accommodation sector is very active, and the German market presents an exciting opportunity for TAN as we focus on expanding the business in Europe.”
