Europe: TFE-owned aparthotel brand Adina Apartment Hotels has achieved full Green Key certification across its 18 properties in Europe.

The certification, earned in July 2025, follows the initial certification of several properties in Germany in late 2024. At the time, Adina set the goal for all 18 Adina Hotels in Europe to achieve Green Key certification in 2025.

Green Key is managed by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and assesses standards for environmental responsibility and sustainable operations in the tourism industry.

The certification covers more than 7,500 properties in more than 80 countries. To qualify, hotels must implement strong measures in areas such as energy efficiency, water and waste management, responsible procurement, and employee engagement.

Asli Kutlucan, CEO of Adina Apartment Hotels Europe said: “With all our Adina locations in Europe now Green Key certified, we are living our core values and sending a clear signal of our commitment to long-term sustainability goals. This certification is the result of a rigorous, collaborative process, driven by our passionate team.

“Sustainability isn’t a trend or tick-box exercise for us, it is a fundamental part of how we operate and grow. As a global business with a deep social conscience, we take our responsibility to the planet seriously. This certification is more than a milestone; it is a reflection of our long-term commitment to building a greener and more sustainable future. It delivers real, tangible value to our guests, clients, our partners, and our people, today and for generations to come,” she added.

Highlights:

• All 18 Adina Apartment Hotels in Europe are now officially Green Key certified as of July 2025.

• The certification follows an ambitious goal set in 2024.

Green Key certification includes criteria such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and employee sustainability training.
