US: Construction has begun on a Home2Suites in the Brooklyn neighbourhood of downtown Jacksonville, Florida.
The Home2Suites by Hilton will have 100 rooms over six storeys and developers Kelco Brooklyn LLC with Kelco Management and Development Inc. and Corner Lot Development Group hope to have it completed by December next year.
Guests staying at the newbuild will be able to make use of a business centre, fitness centre, guest laundry room, and a sundries shop, as well as a ground-floor restaurant with outdoor seating.
The newbuild is the fifth Home2Suites in Northeast Florida and is a few blocks from a 135-room Marriott Residence Inn also under construction.
Earlier this year SAN reported on the construction of a new Home2Suites in Colorado Springs due to open in 2024.
