FINLAND: Forenom, a leading provider of accommodation in the Nordics, is expanding with new apartments in Bergen and Trondheim.

The apartments all offer fully equipped kitchens, living areas, laundry facilities and parking spaces.

Forenom Bergen currently has 40 serviced apartments, but the company expects to increase the amount of apartments it offers in the city to 60 this year, with Forum looking to add larger apartments to the portfolio.

Anne Katrine Gallo, area manager for Forenom Bergen said: “Bergen is Norway’s second largest city where many companies, both international and Norwegian, are located. The increased need for accommodation solutions comes from a high number of projects within, among other things, infrastructure and urban development in Bergen and the surrounding area.”

Forenom Trondheim has 30 serviced apartments but the demand for the apartments has meant Forenom is looking to double that number by the end of the summer.

Villiam Ovesen, area manager for Forenom Trondheim said: “To respond to increased demand from our customers, we plan to be able to offer up to 60 apartments already by the end of the summer of 2022. We are now looking for entire buildings with 8-10 apartments in the centre, as well as larger houses outside the centre to build on our portfolio.”

Trondheim is Norway’s third largest city, and has many construction companies working on transforming parts of the city. Work on the Trønder line and a new four-lane motorway north of Trondheim is underway, and it is expected that construction of the Ocean Space Centre will start soon. The centre will be one of the world’s most advanced facilities for research and education in the maritime industry.

Ovesen adds: “Our spacious and homely apartments and rooms provide the opportunity to cook and wash clothes, which will ensure a comfortable stay for workers on the city’s many projects.”

Forenom is one of the Nordic region’s leading accommodation providers with more than 7,000 serviced apartments and aparthotels in the Nordic region. It also offers a hostel concept for project workers, and attracts extended stays from those working in the construction sector.
