Austria: Flexible housing company Habyt will open its first aparthotel in Vienna on 1 August, marking one of the largest serviced apartment openings in Austria this year.
Located on Bruno-Marek-Allee in Vienna’s Nordbahnviertel district, Habyt Vienna comprises 319 fully furnished studios and apartments available for stays ranging from one night to several months.
The property was developed by Strabag Real Estate and handed over to Habyt in May. It targets a broad mix of business and leisure travellers, conference delegates, remote workers, project teams, expats and extended-stay guests.
Alongside fully equipped apartments with kitchens or kitchenettes, the property offers coworking areas, meeting spaces, a residents’ lounge, gym, sauna, hammam, dining facilities and landscaped communal areas designed to support both short and longer stays.
Habyt said the location was selected for its proximity to Vienna’s business districts, transport links, the Viecon Congress Center, Praterstern station and recreational areas including the Prater and Danube Island.
The development also incorporates a range of sustainability measures, including low-carbon concrete, sheep’s wool insulation within internal walls and natural window sealing materials designed to improve energy performance and indoor air quality.
Lucas Bovone, chief executive officer of Habyt, said the concept combines the independence of apartment living with the services and amenities typically associated with an aparthotel.
Habyt is part of Future Living Group and operates serviced apartments and flexible accommodation across several European cities, including Berlin and Madrid. Vienna represents the company’s latest expansion as demand continues to grow for professionally managed flexible accommodation catering to both business and leisure travellers.
