US: A&R Group, which is constructing a hotel on Colorado Springs’ northeast side, plans to add a second extended stay property next door.
The group plans to build a 105-room Home2Suites by Hilton, opening in 2024. The extended stay hotel would sit next to the 95-room Hampton Inn, which is set to open this July.
The Home2Suites rooms feature separate sleeping and living areas, kitchens and free wifi. Guests staying at the hotel can also enjoy the pool and a complimentary breakfast.
Zach Hoyt, A&R’s president of development told The Gazette Colorado Springs: “We love the market; it’s obviously a growing market… and can handle additional hotels and having an extended-stay product in that area, the Home2Suites brand, it’s a perfect fit.”
Located northwest of Powers Boulevard and Barnes Road, close to the new UCHealth medical campus, the aparthotel would attract a long-term options for patients, their family members and visitors.
A&R’s also has plans to develop a dual-branded Home2Suites and Tru by Hilton property in the InterQuest area.
Dual-branded properties are becoming a popular option for developers and operators in the extended stay sector.
