UK: International Hospitality Media, the publisher of Serviced Apartment News, has announced a partnership with the SDDE Smith Group and its brands including Host & Stay, Styled Interior Design and CoStays.

The group will take a key role as headline and in partnership sponsors of IHM’s flagship hospitality and real estate event, the Urban Living Festival, to be held in London n July 6 and 7 2022.

The SDDE Smith Group will raise the profile of three of its customer-facing brands among a relevant audience of owners, investors and operators who are the driving force behind the convergence of numerous hospitality and real estate asset classes. It also highlights the increasing importance of flexible space and interior design, as the sector evolves and the lines between hospitality, living and working space become blurred, a trend that has accelerated since the pandemic.

The collaboration extends beyond The Urban Living Festival. The SDDE Smith Group and IHM will work together across IHM’s various platforms (servicedapartmentnews.com, shorttermrentalz.com and boutiquehotelnews.com), including webinar appearances, podcasts, digital advertising and a series of carefully curated Feed Your Mind thought-leadership events throughout the year.

Dale Smith, founder and CEO of The SDDE Smith Group, says: “We’re hugely excited to be working with IHM across a number of our SDDE Smith Group brands this year. Piers and his team are highly regarded within the hospitality and accommodation sectors and I believe our Host & Stay, Styled Interior Design and CoStays businesses will all benefit greatly from this partnership as they look to consolidate their positions in their respective markets.”

“Given the breadth of real estate related brands we have within The SDDE Smith Group portfolio, the Urban Living Festival aligns perfectly with our vision of what the future holds for the living and working environments. The blurring of the lines between short let’s, residential let’s and flexible working is moving at a rapid pace and we feel therein lies a huge opportunity for all stakeholders,” he added.

George Sell, editor-in-chief at IHM, said: “This partnership is a great example of how hospitality and real estate brands are recognising and embracing the convergence of asset classes that we at IHM are so so excited about. We’re delighted to be working with Dale and his team, and look forward to a great year of mutually beneficial activity with them.”
