Australia/New Zealand: TFE Hotels, the parent group of serviced apartment brand Adina Apartment Hotels, has appointed two general managers at its properties in Sydney CBD and Auckland.
Shaarn Letele has been named general manager of the soon-to-be-refurbished Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour.
During his 15-year career with TFE Hotels, he reopened Travelodge Wellington before returning to Australia to manage Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Central. He has also been part of the pre-opening team at Adina Sydney Airport, and most recently led the team at Vibe Hotel North Sydney.
TFE’s regional general manager for NSW and ACT, Emma Soutter, said: “With Shaarn’s exceptional attention to detail and passionate service, we’re excited to have him on board managing the planned refurbishment and repositioning of the property.”
Suzanne Pentecost has been appointed general manager of the 164-key Adina Apartment Hotel Auckland Britomart.
She previously worked in a cluster general manager role for Swiss Bel International overseeing Swiss Belresort Coronet Peak and Swiss Belsuites Pounamu Apartments, as well as holding a general manager position with Ramada Hotels.
Outside of New Zealand, Pentecost worked for The Dorchester Hotel in London, at the six-star Qualia resort on Hamilton Island, and One Hyde Park: The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Resort in London. She will start with TFE Hotels on 1 July.
