Belgium: Management company Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has been appointed by Borealis Hotel Group to operate an Adagio aparthotel in Antwerp.

The recently acquired Adagio aparthotel is located in Antwerp city centre. It marks the second property that Aimbridge and Borealis have partnered on in less than a month. This will be Aimbridge’s sixth managed property in Belgium and Borealis’s 27th hotel in Europe.

Due to open in early summer, the property will have eight storeys with studio apartments including a kitchen, suitable for both short and long stays. Guests will also have access to a communal bar area, fitness room, library, marketplace and a laundry room.

David Anderson, Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA divisional president, said: “We’re proud to sign another management agreement with Borealis Hotel Group, welcoming the Aparthotel Adagio Antwerp City Center to our growing portfolio and combining the team’s depth of experience, local support and expansive corporate resources to drive market success.

“Aparthotels offer both leisure and business travellers complete flexibility and freedom by combining the hotel experience with a self-catering stay. Located in such a popular destination, with all the amenities Antwerp has to offer right on the doorstep, we’re confident this new property will prove very popular.”

Bart van de Kamp, founder and CEO of Borealis Hotel Group, said: “It’s great to be announcing another management agreement with our partners at Aimbridge, as we move closer towards opening the Aparthotel Adagio Antwerp City Center. It will be our 27th hotel, following the Holiday Inn Eindhoven Airport, the Motto by Hilton Hotel in Rotterdam, and the ibis Styles in Copenhagen.

“We’re proud to be increasing our presence in the European hotel market and to be working closely with Aimbridge, being one of our longstanding partners that help us to achieve our goals.”
