UK: A former Leicester nightclub and snooker hall could be turned into a 73-key aparthotel.
Proposals have been drawn up to convert the former City Suite in Wharf Street South in the city centre. Developer Platinum Homes has lodged designs with planners at Leicester City Council, which last year rejected a plan to turn the building into 76 studio flats and another proposal to knock it down and build an 11-storey block of 76 flats and shops.
The council is currently considering the latest set of plans and will decide whether to approve them later this year.
The developer has also lodged plans with Leicester City Council to convert a former police station in the city as a hotel.
Elsewhere in the city, Adagio recently opened a property, while the former Fenwicks department store is being converted in to an aparthotel.</p
