UK: Plans for an aparthotel on the site of the former Greaves store on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street have been lodged with councillors.

The planning application submitted by Joe Johal and Wellwood Leslie Architects would redevelop the existing building, which has been vacant since 2018.

The former Greaves building is next to the former Victoria’s nightclub, which was destroyed by a fire in 2018.

The planning application said it seeks to “secure the long-term future of the Grade B listed building”, preserving the facade while implementing the “complete regeneration” of the interior.
