UK: ASAP has announced that Richard Whittaker, EMEA director of supplier management for Oakwood Worldwide, has been appointed as its new deputy chair.
Whittaker has more than 17 years’ experience in the serviced apartment sector and has led the EMEA supply chain management team at Oakwood Worldwide since 2011. His appointment was announced at ASAP‘s general meeting yesterday and he will take up the role with immediate effect.
Whittaker said: “This is a very exciting time for the serviced apartment industry and I am honoured to accept the role of deputy chair of the ASAP. I have been a keen supporter of the association for many years and I am delighted to have the opportunity to take on a leading role as we continue to grow and develop the industry on behalf of ASAP members.”
