Netherlands: The first overseas ASAP chapter, ASAPNL, has been launched at an event in Amsterdam.
The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) formalised the partnership with the Netherlands, during the successful launch event in Amsterdam on 19th October.
ASAPNL was launched during the new organisation’s first networking event which took place on 19th October at Heineken Experience in Amsterdam, and was dedicated to introducing the association and networking with likeminded professionals.
More than 55 guests attended the event, including serviced apartment operators from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven as well as UK members and the board of The ASAP.
ASAP CEO James Foice said: “It’s hugely exciting to see the incredible growth of our serviced apartment sector in the Netherlands and it’s therefore a perfect time for us to launch our first overseas chapter with ASAPNL. It was fantastic to welcome 55 operators to our launch event who are all very excited about the opportunity for the industry in the Netherlands to come together and be part of our global not-for-profit trade body for the serviced apartment sector. I am particularly delighted that there is such strong interest amongst Dutch operators in our sector-leading global Quality Accreditation Programme which is proving to be such a key differentiator for our sector globally. We very much look forward to building on this new partnership in the coming months with our Dutch colleagues under the chairmanship of Peter Heule.”
The event was moderated by Peter Heule, chairman of ASAPNL and CEO Short Stay Group. He said: “I am delighted to see that there is so much interest in ASAPNL. The other board members, Jouke Baaima of Corporate Housing Factory, Sicco Behrens of Your Amsterdam Housing and Dirk-Jan van Eeuwen of Cityden Serviced Apartments, and I will do everything within our knowledge and power to lift the Dutch serviced apartment sector to a higher level.”
