Thailand: The Crest Collection has announced plans to open the Metropole Bangkok in September, in the Thonglor district.
The serviced apartment property, developed by local investor Fico Corporation, will feature 116 studio and one-bedroom apartments ranging from 27 to 67 square metres in size.
Thonglor is described as a residential neighbourhood preferred by Japanese and foreign executives.
“The location really is impossible to beat,” said Jean Keijdener, general manager of Ascott in Thailand. “It is testament to our commitment to Thailand and our faith in Bangkok that we have chosen the Metropole as the first development in Asia to be branded as The Crest Collection property.”
The Metropole is one of four properties in Ascott’s Crest Collection brand which was launched in April this year.
The others are three of Ascott former Citadines properties in Paris that have been renamed La Clef Louvre Paris, La Clef Champs-Elysees Paris and La Clef Tour Eiffel Paris.</p
