UK: Plans to redevelop a townhouse in Blythswood, Glasgow, as serviced apartments have been filed, including the conversion and change of use of a neighbouring building.

A seven-storey new-build corner block at 139-141 West Regent Street in Glasgow city centre would house 41 flats, including a ground-floor restaurant and a rooftop bar. An additional 29 additional will be housed in the retained building.

Replacing initial proposals by Ark Architecture + Design Grant Murray Architects, the latest plans include the provision of enhanced amenities including a gym, outdoor terrace and lounges.

The site, described as difficult, is constrained by the Queen Street railway tunnel and a townhouse considered to be beyond economic repair.
