Austria: Tech-powered hospitality provider Bob W has exchanged contracts to launch a 67-unit serviced apartment building in Vienna, marking its first opening in Austria.
Bob W has signed a long-term lease agreement with Viennese developer Peter Pilz & Partner Projektentwicklungs GmbH for a 2,000 square-metre building, located in Heiligenstädter Straße.
Construction has already started and the property is scheduled to open in 2025.
It marks the first property in Austria for Bob W, and takes the total number of European cities in which it operates to 18.
Niko Karstikko, co-founder of Bob W, said: “Our expansion into Austria marks a significant milestone for the company. With a booming tourism industry and a dynamic business scene, Vienna is one of the most vibrant and promising markets in Europe, complementing our existing presence in the region.
“Our serviced apartments will provide flexible, sustainable, tech-led accommodation to tourists, digital nomads and business travellers who are looking for the reliability of a hotel and the amenities and comfort of a real home. We look forward to welcoming our first guests in Vienna as we continue to acquire, expand, and identify suitable assets across Europe for new Bob W locations.”
Peter Pilz, operation and commercial manager at Peter Pilz & Partner Projektentwicklungs GmbH, said: “Bob W is setting new standards for innovation and modernity in the hospitality sector which will redefine excellence for us as landlords. The company’s relentless pursuit of exceptional guest experiences, combined with a deep understanding of the ever-evolving industry landscape, positions them as a pioneer in shaping the future of hospitality. We are delighted to collaborate with Bob W.”
Bob W was advised by Wolf Theiss in establishing its Austrian entity and finalising the lease agreement. CBRE facilitated the real estate transaction between Peter Pilz & Partner Projektentwicklungs GmbH and Bob W.
