UK: Nigel Carter, former CCO of LiFE Residential, has joined Synergy Global Housing as director of development, EMEA.
His role will be to spearhead new property acquisition, partnership development and hybrid accommodation growth. Carter will be based at Synergy’s London office and report to president international, Stephen Hanton.
“Nigel’s unique mix of real estate and serviced apartment experience and expertise will prove critical in our ability to expand our accommodation mix in key locations throughout Europe,” said Hanton. “He will drive the development of innovative and strategic alliances to ensure our apartment inventory meets the needs of our global client base as their travel volumes begin to ramp back to pre-pandemic levels.”
Carter will be responsible for strengthening Synergy’s relationships with residential and commercial property agents, while expanding and deepening strategic partnerships with property developers and investors.
“We believe hybrid inventory models enhance our ability to solve our clients’ housing needs in complex markets,” said Hanton. “Nigel will prove pivotal in our ability to strengthen our access to supply while driving new collaborative partnerships with our supplier providers.”
Carter joins Synergy after spending over a decade as CCO for LiFE Residential, a UK privately owned real estate agency where he grew the portfolio from 800 to 4,400 units during his tenure. Prior to LiFE, Carter worked for BridgeStreet for 15 years as the UK development director.
“Stephen and I successfully worked together to help establish our prior employer as a leader in the UK serviced apartment industry,” said Carter. “Now, I’m excited to join him again and bring my 25 years of experience to aggressively grow Synergy’s inventory over the short-term and further bolster our ability to serve our clients at the highest level.”
