UK: Cheval Collection and Cycas Hospitality have both been listed in The Caterer’s 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality for 2020.
The Caterer’s 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards, held in partnership with employee engagement experts Purple Cubed, celebrate those operators who put people at the centre of everything they do and in the process deliver an exceptional product. Each of the 30 Best Places to Work winners has been recommended by the majority of employees.
Both companies have featured in the annual list consistently.
When surveyed 98 per cent of Cheval’s employees said they were happy to come to work and 96.4 per cent said they would be happy to recommend Cheval as an employer to a friend.
George Westwell, CEO of Cheval Collection, said: “Being included within The Caterer’s Best Places to Work in Hospitality for 2020 for the fourth year in a row, and rising seven places, is a huge privilege and we are thrilled. This is a real testament to the Cheval family – for 39 years, we have strived to be the best and we continue our ongoing success journey as one team. Year on year, our employees continue to create an inspiring and happy environment which drives results but also creates the family feel that we are so proud of – our employees really are our most valuable asset.”
At Cycas, 97 per cent of employees canvassed by Purple Cubed said they are motivated and really want to do a good job. Almost as many again feel they are part of a team that respects each other.
Cycas chief development officer Asli Kutlucan said: “It goes without saying that our job is all about people and our incredible teams doing just that. We got nominated for the Best Employer position three years in a row, won it once and runner up twice! Thanks to Janet Roberts and her team for driving this as the People & Culture team, and Wayne Androliakos and his GMs bringing this culture to life at our hotels.”
