UK: Orbital Partnership is designed to connect property owners to “a free worldwide marketplace”.

UK serviced apartment agency Citybase Apartments has launched a free online serviced apartment network. It says the Orbital Partnership (OP) “connects serviced apartment owners and operators to a virtual marketplace that makes properties available to partners around the world”.

Gary Hurst, Citybase’s sales director, said: “This is the first network of its kind in the serviced apartment sector, a genuine and significant revolution. The technology that underpins OP provides members with access to real-time availability, online booking and instant confirmation, and there are no booking fees.”

Citybase says the MyAccount feature on OP gives partners complete control and total visibility of inventory, rates and bookings.

“MyAccount gives users a comprehensive overview of booking history, a booking calendar and detailed management information (MI) on an intuitive dashboard,” said Hurst.

The company claims OP will ensure a consistency  of product, service and booking processes  rolled out on a global scale. The technology platform also sets a new standard for the industry and mitigates the fragmentation of distribution, it says.

OP partners will have access to full training and support at no extra cost. The assisted sales training team will customise the technology to meet the specific needs of each business and maintain regular contact with users to ensure they are making best use of the system.
