UK: Plans for a Locke aparthotel at the Eddington development in Cambridge have been recommended for approval.

The application for the land between Huntingdon Road, Madingley Road and the M11 – known as Lot H – has been put forward by the University of Cambridge and OCM Luxembourg (SACO Property Group).

It is set to be approved by Cambridge City Council at its joint development control committee on April 17.

The scheme forms part of the Eddington development, which has outline permission for thousands of new homes, student accommodation, employment space, a primary school, recreational facilities and a local centre with retail amenities.

Lot H forms part of the first phase of the project, which is nearing completion with almost 700 homes occupied.

Approval is subject to the completion of a section 106 agreement. If development goes ahead, it could create more than 80 jobs.</p
