US: A Residence Inn by Marriott in Queens, designed by Gene Kaufman Architect, is close to completing construction.
The property, near John F. Kennedy International Airport, is located at 142-30 135th Avenue in South Ozone Park. The 12-storey building will comprise approximately 300,000 square feet with 182 guest rooms. The hotel will allow for extended stay reservations and will feature a selection of larger rooms with kitchenettes. Amenities include a meeting room, a communal lounge, a fitness room, and outdoor space surrounding a fire pit and designated breakfast areas.
Soundview Real Estate Partners and Chartwell Hospitality are developing the project, which will be the second building designed by Gene Kaufman near the airport after the Crowne Plaza JFK, which opened in 2014.
