Portugal: Serviced apartment operator Líbere Hospitality Group has opened its first property in Portugal, located in the country’s capital of Lisbon.

Líbere Lisbon Príncipe Real marks the first property in Portugal for the team, as well as the first outside of Spain. It offers 22 apartments across five floors and is located at Rua Luísa Todi 10.

The current portfolio under Líbere Hospitality Group stands at 37 properties, 18 of which are in operation.

Earlier this year, the group raised €6 million to fund its expansion across Europe. Italy has been marked as a target destination with Niccolò Pravettoni heading up business development in the country.

Pedro Silvestre, head of business development in Portugal, said: “At Líbere Hospitality Group we are going to continue growing and exporting our business model throughout southern Europe; and this entry into Portugal with this Principe Real asset in Lisbon marks the turning point to start new operations in other European countries.

“By bringing our model to Portugal, specifically to the capital city of Lisbon, we contribute to increasing and enhancing its tourist accommodation offerings. We want this city to continue growing and remain a tourist landmark in the country, as evidenced by its recognition as the Best Urban Tourism City of 2023 by the World Travel Awards 2023. Additionally, the destination combines several factors that justify this new asset: a rich cultural and entertainment scene, as well as a privileged location with excellent connections and a wide range of infrastructures. In addition to the capital, we are investing in Porto as the second main city, and also in cities such as Coimbra, Évora, and Faro,” he added.
