Czech Republic: Tech-enabled serviced apartment operator limehome has expanded into the Czech Republic with a signing in Prague.

Located on Halkova Street in Prague, limehome has taken over a refurbished existing hotel property close to Wenceslas Square.

The building will offer 49 units including penthouses and a shared terrace. It is scheduled to open by November 2024.

Josef Vollmayr, co-founder and co-CEO of limehome, said: “We’re excited about offering our guests comfortable and convenient stays in vibrant new locations such as Prague, San Sebastián, and many more attractive destinations in our core markets.

“We’ve matched our 2023 numbers in just nine months. Now, we’re setting our sights even higher. Our strong market performance, driven by a digital business model and a design-focused product, has made us the preferred operator for real estate partners across all Europe. On our journey to reach more than 20,000 apartments over the next three years, we want to expand our sustainable and scalable model all over Europe next,” he added.

Alongside new projects in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Athens and Vienna, the group’s total portfolio has grown to more than 8,000 units.

After Germany, Spain remains the group’s second largest market at nearly 1,800 units.
