Europe: Tech-enabled operator limehome has expanded into its tenth European market having signed 220 units in Greece, Italy and Switzerland.
The latest locations signed by limehome includes Rome, Milan, Salerno, Maiori, Athens, Piraeus and Zurich.
In Rome, limehome is opening in the San Lorenzo student district near La Sapienza University and Rome Termini Central Station. In Milan, limehome’s first location will be in Porta Nuova.
Elsewhere in Italy, a former hotel in Salerno will be restored to its original hospitality purpose and is expected to launch under limehome in 2025, alongside an additional site in Maiori on the Amalfi Coast.
Four leases have been signed in Greece, including one site in Athens and three in Piraeus. In Switzerland, a debut for limehome, apartments are being built in the Kreis 1 area in an existing building currently undergoing renovation. It is scheduled to open from mid-2024.
“The long-term objective is to offer our exceptional guest experience throughout Europe,” said limehome CEO Josef Vollmayr. “Italy and Greece are evergreens of leisure tourism and an important part of our expansion strategy in Europe. Greece has seen a strong influx of international businesses and has great catch-up potential in terms of its economy. As one of the leading financial centres in Europe, Zurich is a particularly interesting business location for our business guests. We see great opportunities for our business model in both markets and aim to rapidly expand our offering in both countries.”
Based in Munich, limehome launched five years and has grown to feature more than 5,000 apartments on its platform.
