Portugal: Lifestyle aparthotel brand Locke will open its sixteenth property, Locke da Santa Joana, in Lisbon this summer.
Located along Avenida da Liberdade, Locke da Santa Joana will become the largest property to date within the portfolio. It has been designed in collaboration with studios Lázaro Rosa-Violán, which oversaw the public areas, and Post Company which led the bedroom interiors.
The aparthotel is set within the remains of a 17th century convent and purpose-built hotel. It features 370 apartments, hotel rooms, penthouses, and suites across nine floors. Aside from the Locke Room, apartments offer a fully fitted kitchen, living and working spaces as well as washers and dryers in-unit. Some apartments provide a balcony.
On-site amenities include 10 food and beverage venues in partnership with White Rabbit Projects and Spiritland, a coworking area, event and meeting spaces, a museum, gym and a workout studio, and a seasonal outdoor pool with sun terrace.
Marking the first opening in Portugal for Locke, the da Santa Joana aparthotel is due to open in July according to its website.
Elsewhere in Europe, the group has recently debuted in Switzerland (Zurich) as well as Berlin. Upcoming locations include a 145-unit property in Paris (autumn 2024) and a 236-unit site in Copenhagen (winter 2024).
