UK: Serviced apartment owner-operator Mansley has achieved Green Tourism Gold accreditation across its portfolio.

Mansley operates serviced apartments in London, Edinburgh, Inverness and Cheltenham.

Following the group’s second assessment with Green Tourism, the company has been awarded gold status across all seven sites.

Green Tourism is a certification program that recognises and promotes sustainable practices in the tourism industry. The accreditation process involves an assessment of ESG communication, staff duty of care, the guest experience, energy and water consumption, and more.

Accreditation criteria are based on internationally recognised sustainability standards and guidelines, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Sustainability officer at Mansley Serviced Apartments, David Wright said: “I am personally over the moon with this achievement. We took on board the comments that we received following our first assessment in which we achieved silver. Over the course of the last year we have been busy implementing new procedures, in terms of how we internally record our carbon output, as well many community initiatives, such as monthly litter picks and also supporting charitable causes via our Staff Consultive Committee. We have lots of plans in the pipeline and I am looking forward to working on those across 2024/25.”

The gold accreditation by Green Tourism follows 2023 achievements for Mansley, such as EcoSmart+ status with Greengage.
