UK: Lifestyle aparthotel group Native Places has nearly completed a £1 million refurbishment of its Glasgow property as well as signed its eighth location in Fulham, London.
First launched in 2018, Native Glasgow is housed in an Edwardian building on St Vincent Place.
The in-house design team at DRG have led the refurbishment of the property. The premium studios are the first to be completed with the entire project set to finish in spring 2024, including the top floor penthouses and a mix of one bedroom apartments.
Throughout the property, a curated collection of photography and illustrations by local artists will feature architecture and venues from around the city.
Over in London, Native Fulham Broadway will open in 2025. It will offer 41 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, as well as COUNTER – an all-day bar and lounge concept. It will be designed by studio YOUTH.
The refurbishment of Glasgow and signing of Fulham come as Native prepares to open King’s Wardrobe, St Paul’s in London this April.
Olivia Immesi, CEO at Native Places, said: “This is a very exciting time for Native Places as we expand operations further across the UK. The future of aparthotels worldwide, and in particular in the UK, is significant with the demand for longer stays one of the swiftest-growing sectors within the hospitality industry.
“Our aparthotels offer the versatility of multi-purpose, flexible and convenient accommodation; all of which offer better value than the traditional hotel experience. We are the obvious choice for those who want to live like a local within the community, and for digital nomads and business travellers seeking a hybrid set up.”
