UK: MRP Group has announced a partnership between Nomad Aparthotels and Mantra Homes in the city of Liverpool.

A former trade warehouse and music studio, Project Sound is set to be a 34 room aparthotel, with a mix of studio and one bedroom apartments.

The studios in the original building saw famous artists like Echo and the Bunnymen and Alison Moyet. This history will be blended into the aparthotel’s design, with built in music studios and a café featuring live music.

The lease agreement has been finalized for the full development, with Nomad operating the property, owned by Mantra Homes, from summer 2021. Project Sound will be Nomad’s first operational project in the UK, after the company’s openings in Milan, Rome and Venice.

Liverpool is a popular site for development, with the city’s centre undergoing major revitalisation. £1.4bn of investment has flowed in, supplementing the money brought by 67.3m tourists visiting in 2017.

The city’s musical history and cultural opportunities have made the city one of the UK’s biggest destinations. Business also thrives there, making the development a needed site for long term corporate visitors.

MRP Consultancy Group sealed the deal between the two entities, continuing their focus on the city of Liverpool. CEO Max Thorne said: “Project Sound was one of our initial projects, so we are very proud to see it come full circle.”

This project is not alone in the aparthotel market in Liverpool. It will be joined by two other projects, which are both slated for planning approval.  </p
