Ovolo buys Bali Citadines property

Indonesia: Hong Kong-based hospitality company Ovolo Group has purchased the Citadines Kuta Beach Bali, its first property outside Hong Kong and Australia.

The 194-key property consists of 182 studio rooms, nine one-bedroom suites, three two-bedroom suites, an all-day restaurant, a rooftop pool and bar, a gym and conferencing facilities.

“This acquisition demonstrates our vision to become a truly global hospitality company,” said Girish Jhunjhnuwala, founder and CEO of Ovolo Group, adding that the company plans to expand internationally with a focus on South-east Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the US and the UK “We look forward to being able to reinvent this hotel and its food and drink concepts in true Ovolo style.”

Ovolo Group operates hotels, serviced apartments and restaurants in Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane. It is also developing properties in Melbourne and Bali.

Ovolo Group also recently launched Mojo Nomad, a co-living concept currently located in Hong Kong’s Central and Aberdeen Harbour neighbourhoods. The concept is also set to launch in Australia.
