UK: Aparthotel brand Roomzzz will run its second annual Charity Week in mid-July, raising funds for its charitable organisation The Parklane Foundation.
Every year, The Parklane Foundation selects a charity to receive all Rooomzzz fundraising donations.
In 2023 the group supported Dementia UK, Alzheimer’s Society, and Leeds Hospitals Charity. A sum of £38,240 was raised during the inaugural charity week Roomzzz held.
This year, from 15th July to 21st July 2024, Roomzzz will host fundraising initiatives to support CRISIS, St George’s Crypt, and Simon on the Streets – all dedicated to fighting homelessness.
Roomzzz will donate an entire night’s revenue from across its portfolio to the Parklane Foundation. A Golden Ticket raffle for guests to win an overnight stay will also contribute to the funds raised.
CRISIS is a UK charity offering year-round services in 12 locations across the country for people experiencing homelessness.
Operating across Leeds, Bradford, and Huddersfield, Simon the Streets’ directly engages with individuals on the streets to offer support for those who might not seek assistance elsewhere.
St George’s Crypt provides three daily meals, showers, counselling, and self-contained flats for individuals combating addiction. The team helps those in need to reintegrate back into society.
